HERTZ, the new performance by Sidney Leoni, creates an environment composed of saturated light and sound phenomena. Unexpected practical strategies for both sonic and visual orientation become necessary to navigate the arising performative spaces. Set in near darkness, the theater takes on the function of amplifying the emerging micro-ecologies in between sound, light and human performers, barely visible, yet haptically and audibly perceptible. Made together with the artists Kjetil Brandsdal, Martin Lervik, Stina Nyberg, Morten J. Olsen, Jonathan Uliel Barbosa Saldanha, Sandy Williams, Jan Fedinger and Frédéric Alstadt, Hertz is a hybrid choreography of sound and light, in which shapes, figures and physical manifestations are temporary and unforseeable, while the immersive forces of the environment flow and spread out
